shalom harlow is perfect...

Even with '80s hair. Or perhaps particularly because of it? The big hair and even bigger shoulderpads are ideally offset by those high cheekbones and cat-like eyes (and Canadian countenance bien sûr!).

I think the hair really makes it... it gives it a (an?) haute edge.

I almost thought that was an old shot from the heyday of Studio 54 or something. She looks like Bianca Jagger, or someone else equally of that period.

Yes, it is the eyes. Eye make-up can never conceal essential nature. We can always see when eyes sing, or smile, or sigh no matter how painted or primped.

"La Femme, Why are your eyes seemingly so sad?", I inquire. "Do you possess an inner knowledge that trancends our happy vision, or is it that you withhold so sorrowfully much?"

I am stopped by an icey stare.

Amazing to think more than 10 years ago I was gaga over her, and still am.

Definitely wouldn't want to run into her in a dark alley. Very Canadian. Very 80s.

Definitely wouldn't want to run into her in a dark alley....or maybe I would. I'll decide when it happens. Very Canadian. Very 80s.
