taxi driver

Him: 'Where did you fly in from?'

Moi: 'London'

Him: 'Ah. Do you work in the fashion... realm?'

Moi: 'Yes.' (God, yes!)

Is it really that obvious? Is the blue beanie on my head a marker of some sort? Or are all femmes coming in from London somehow connected to the fashion industry? Whatever the reason, it felt strangely affirming and left me grinning for ages. Like those macaroons in Paris, only better :)

Where in fashion do you work? Was great fun to read your Paris wrapup, just wished that I'd read before I went there... Did you visit the Balanciaga-exhibit?

I am sooooo excited for you! You should visit the Anglomania exhibit at the Met if you get the chance this week... one of those 'everyone in fashion has seen this' type deal.
Have a fantastic week and please write all about it. Your readers eagerly wait with baited breath!

the flight attendant came up to me with a magazine, flicked open a page with a dior homme ad, and asked "excuse me, is this you"? nevermind, stupid comment.

random things happen at airports and planes...

victimedelamode: Merci- how was your trip to Paris? No, I didn't end up going to the Balenciaga exhibit- I started walking a few times in the direction of the museum and got completely sidetracked by other things I came across! Very bad. I'm a hopeless francophile :)

liza: Yes! I wouldn't miss McQueen ballgowns and Westwood sperm filled necklaces for anything! Have you seen it? I can't wait.

Yep, I'll be blogging until my fingers drop off- then I'll use my toes.

carissa: I'm sure you will :)

Of course you can link to my blog- thank you.

marius: And what did you say?

re: my blog, merci.

OK, la femme, what were you wearing to elicit that comment...and what was he wearing that you didn't ask if you would be seeing him on the runway?

I am on a hiatus from university (and indeed Toronto) and following my fashion dreams. At the moment, I am lucky- it remains to be seen whether that luck will translate into a paycheque.

Thank you for reading my blog. Stay tuned.

You must have just looked so incredibly cool-and-chic that he knew right away you could work in no other industry but fashion. Right? :P
